Hello Everyone,
So far, Kay and I have gotten most of the plot straightened out, but not all. We are currently coding, finding music, planning out more of the storyline, and waiting for our "possible" artists to reply back to us. It's been a bit tedious as of far, but we hope to get things on the move soon :) Some updates I want to correct before I log off.
Character Bios as of Far:
Valerie Astaan (Sorceress): TBA
Aaron Toratiar (Wizard/Human): He appeared in the Salus kingdom as a baby only a few months old in the courtyard of the Salus castle. The king and queen had wanted to adopt Aaron to become the future older brother of their to-be-born daughter (Valerie), but each royal family was permitted to having only one child or they had to give up their throne. So, they made him as Valerie's servant/play buddy, and the two became fast friends. That was until Valerie started her training to becoming queen and Aaron was taught by the kingdom's greatest wizard about magic. They both went their separate ways for a year and when they were finally reunited, their friendship wasn't same as before.
Ceilo Kantael (Human): TBA
Darcel Dragoonhart (Sorcerer): As the only royal child born in the poverty-stricken Invidia, Darcel's parents had forced him into becoming the next king. They wanted changes made to their country and trained Darcel to become an excellent king. But their desires for a better kingdom had gone too far, for Darcel ended up living a life of harsh and abusive punishments, and rigorous studying/training. Before long, Darcel grew up to be an exceptional king, but his personality is quite nasty, being a pessimist and a loner. Darcel hates his family, hates the world and everything around him.
Flint Nazeu (Hybrid): Born from as a hybrid from a human mother and a dryad father, Flint lived a humble and secluded life outside Alitura in the woods. He had grown up having few friends from the nearby villages, but he was no shy boy. Instead, Flint would spend his time in the woods, communicating to animals with the knowledge he had of observing creatures. Fint is very outgoing, always trying to keep an optimistic attitude where ever he goes. Because of his frequent adventures out back, Flint knows how to cast basic nature spells and help preserve the forest.
Esmond Baduer (Human): Esmond lived a fairly normal life, with his father and mother owning the best bakery in the Venia kingdom. But harsh times grew and wasn't money to support his family consisting of himself, his parents, and his 3 younger sisters. Esmond set out to find a steady job and eventually became one of the kingdom's messengers.
Bryony Cairncut (Elf): Her parents were traitors in the kingdom of Proventus and the kingdom ordered an execution to her parents when she was 5. The queen and king weren't able to have children and when they saw Bryony completely helpless, they adopted her as their own. Though there were second thoughts on the fact that she may plan to eventually avenge her parents, Bryony seemed so sweet to raise a hand against her foster parents.
Country (New) Names: (with descriptions of each)
- Salus: A thriving city for magical users and scholarly studies. It is popular for it's magical ceremonies and it's famous school for those mastering the young mages/wizards. Every year, thousands come from all over to experience the teachings of magic and to sell their magical goods. The royal family of Salus are the originators of forming the pact of the 7 kingdoms and wield an immense amount of royal power.
- Cael: Situated in a sort of misty mountainous bowl/crater. Though Cael is a small province, it has lots of resources from the constant mining and are quite prosperous. They import many of their minerals and rocks to Invidia for weapons and metalwork. Because they are resourceful kingdom but lack royal power, Cael tries to hold a better position for themselves through an arranged marriage with the kingdom of Salus.
- Proventus: A large fishing port/trading center with lots of business competition and known for being the only tolerable place to selling goods that are prohibited in other kingdoms. With this expansive freedom, many come to vacation in Proventus and grow accustomed to its cheerful charms. Rumors have it that the Kingdom of Diluvium can be accessed through Proventus...
- Alitura: The kingdom mostly made of forest, with small villages scattered throughout. There isn't a dictatorship, but rather a democracy in its place, because of the kingdom's lack of population. The people are relatively humble and peaceful in their daily lives. The kingdom of Alitura is the mass producer for logs and woods to be used in fires, craftsmanship, and transportation.
- Diluvium: An underwater city in a network of caves and water tunnels. Not much is known about this kingdom because it is isolated from the upper world and it's inhabitants practice a strange pagan religion. The people are quite wary of outsiders and rarely venture to the outside world. They worship a goddess that was their kingdom's savior/prophet from long ago, according to textbooks.
- Venia: As the smallest and poorest kingdom, Venia is a dwindling kingdom of stragglers. The weather is dry and harsh, and is extremely difficult to plant crops. Famed historical ruins lay on the outskirts of the kingdom, though it is no tourist attraction. But the people are very hospitable and helpful towards each others in times of need.
Side note: It would be a great help if any of you guys reading this blog out there could find some BGMs for the game. We currently are looking for instrumental music that is: free and/or composed by someone that we can credit for. The music we are looking for are: default music (mountain, forest, sea BGMs, etc.) and sad pieces of music. If any of you find any that we can download for free and/or use with the permission of the composer, please contact me at windscimitars@gmail.com. Thanks!
